BOSSES at ITV have finally officially announced that Maya Jama will be taking over from Laura Whitmore as the host on Love Island.
"The rumours are true", they revealed today in an exciting post on the official Love Island account, tagging Maya's account on Instagram.
Penning the message next to a video clip of all the press articles about the rumoured replacement, they attached the iconic Love Island theme tune.
The post read: "Okay, the rumours are true. Say hey to your brand-new #LoveIsland host @mayajama!"
Despite being announced only minutes ago, Laura was amongst the first to comment on the post, saying: "Yes girl!! So delighted for you! You’re gonna be fab."

Maya said, in full caps: "SO BLOODY EXCITED. GET ME ON THAT ISLAND."
It comes after Laura stepped down from hosting the show due to 'logistical' reasons and plans to work on other TV shows next year.
