A Six Flags ride left guests stranded high above the ground for around two hours after it suffered a power outage, triggering a major emergency response.
The incident happened Friday at Six Flags Great Adventure in Queensbury, New York, when the Adirondack Outlaw ride stopped while passengers were still onboard.

Video shared with OMG-News.com showed riders suspended in the air as mechanics climbed to the top of the attraction in an effort to free those trapped.
TikTok user @houndmama801 filmed the rescue as she said, "This is the current situation. These people have been stuck for over an hour.

"The power went out here about an hour ago at this park.
"Looks like they're slowly trying to lower them down. Some ambulances are here. Can't even imagine being stuck up there, my anxiety would be through the roof."
Because of the way the ride operates, one side of the attraction had to remain hanging straight up while crews worked to safely unload the passengers on the opposite side.

A spokesperson for Six Flags wrote, "Great Escape experienced a partial power outage. As a result several rides stopped. All guests are safely unloaded."
The incident marks the second major ride malfunction at a Six Flags park in recent weeks.
Earlier this month, the SkyScreamer ride at Six Flags Over Georgia became stuck, leaving riders dangling more than 260 feet in the air before they were safely rescued.
