Shakira showed once again why she's one of the most resilient stars in the game.
During her "Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour," which kicked off in February, the Colombian singer hit a rough patch on May 20 in Montreal. As she was about to perform her hit "Wherever, Whenever," Shakira slipped while dancing sideways and took a tumble on stage.

Caught on multiple fan videos, the fall happened when Shakira took a quick bow with her arms raised. But instead of freezing, she rolled on the floor, popped back up with a grin, and even stuck out her tongue—clearly not letting the moment spoil the night.

Fans flooded social media with praise. One TikTok user said, "I like how when she makes a mistake she just laughs and carries on." Another added, "The show must continue, so professional!" Other comments included, "She fell like a princess and got back up like a QUEEN," and "It's not how you fall, it's how you pick yourself up and she did it gracefully."
This incident comes after a tough stretch for Shakira on tour. She canceled concerts in Medellín and Santiago over stage safety concerns. Most notably, she was hospitalized in Lima, Peru, forcing her to postpone that show.

Shakira took to Instagram Stories to update fans on her health: "I am sorry to inform you all that last night I had to go to the ER for an abdominal issue and am currently hospitalized. The doctors whose care I am currently under have communicated that I am not in good enough condition to perform this evening."

She added, "I am very sad to not be able to take to the stage today, I've been looking forward to reuniting with my incredible fans in Peru. I hope to be released and well tomorrow so I'm able to perform. My team and the promoters are already working on a new date to communicate to you."
Closing her message, Shakira thanked fans for their support: "Thank you all for your understanding, I love you all. Shak."
