VIEWERS have blasted the National Television Awards after telly icon Alison Hammond 'was robbed' while losing to Ant and Dec.
The 'queen' was up for best TV presenter but lost to the Geordie duo who seem to win a prize every single year, for the last 100 years.
"Dame Alison Hammond was robbed. This should have been her year," said one angry fan who called for an immediate re-vote.
It was later on in the evening that Alison 'solidified her award-winning worthiness' when she climbed on stage and said she "should have won".
"Let’s be honest I should of won one of these," she shouted down the microphone while accepting This Morning's prize alongside Holly and Phil.
Fans clearly agreed, with one – after Alison lost to Ant and Dec – quipping: "Eh???? Alison Hammond definitely deserved it. She's brilliant!!"
Another said: "Alison Hammond is the greatest presenter we currently have.
"Charismatic, funny, can put anyone at ease. She should be at the top of every tv channels list for any hosting gig ever."
A third said: "We don’t need an award to prove that Alison Hammond is the best presenter in the UK. She just is. And she’s only getting started."
Some took to Twitter to complain to NTA organisers that the show is "so boring" and starting to become "outdated".
One said: "So so boring Ant & Dec winning best tv presenter every single year, truly Alison Hammond deserved to break that spell."
Another protested: "This annoys me with the #NTAs always the same folk/shows winning, come on, This Morning winning after queue gate…really!
"Pretty sure Kate Garroway won for the same show last year too! Should have been Tom Parker winning that Alison Hammond was also robbed!"
"This show is out dated, the same people win because of their cult following #ntas Tom, Kelsey and the wanted family & Alison Hammond robbed," said a third.
