EVERYONE is saying the same thing about comedian Lee Mack as he makes his game show debut on ITV’s latest quiz The 1% Club.
Fans are demanding to see more of the Not Going Out star on TV as the first episode aired tonight (April 9) at 8.30pm on ITV.
“It’s about time Lee Mack was given his own Saturday night show, the man is sheer class,” said one fan on Twitter as Lee Mack began trending this evening.
Another added: “I think this [game show] could really work, especially with Lee Mack as host, he is a absolute master of quick wit.”
“Lee Mack is the quiz show host this country both needs and deserves,” said another.
Explaining the show, a spokesperson for ITV said: “Have you ever wondered how clever you are?
“Do you think you might be in the top 50% of the country? The top 10% Or even the top 1%?
My wife: “do you want to watch a new quiz on ITV in a minute?”
Me: “No thanks”
My wife: “it’s got Lee Mack in it”
Me: “you get the biscuits, I’ll put the kettle on”#The1PercentClub— kevws (@kevwgs) April 9, 2022

Ooh I like The 1% Club – it might just join the 1% of quiz formats that actually have staying power. The questions feel like Test the Nation, Lee Mack’s got the likability of Bradley Walsh and it looks set to build up to a tense final moment like Millionaire. Winning combination.

“This is your chance to find out as comedy legend Lee Mack hosts the brand new prime-time quiz show The 1% Club.
“The 1% Club is the ultimate leveller. It doesn’t matter if you’re not usually good at quizzes because the questions have nothing to do with remembering facts.
“They’re all about logic and common sense so it doesn’t matter if you’re 15 or 50, this is the quiz that the whole family can play together.
“100 contestants begin every show, but who will make it to the end and answer a question only 1% of the country can get right… and win up to £100,000?”
