Sarah Ferguson says Queen Elizabeth II still checks in—via barking corgis.
The Duchess of York, 65, revealed she believes the late monarch communicates with her through the royal dogs, Muick and Sandy, who she took in after the Queen's death in 2022.

"I have her dogs, I have her corgis," Ferguson said at the Creative Women Platform Forum in London, per The Telegraph. "Every morning they come in and go 'woof woof' and all that, and I'm sure it's her talking to me. I'm sure it's her, reminding me she's still around."

Fergie, who remains close with ex-husband Prince Andrew, says she still feels the Queen's presence and wants to keep her legacy front and center.
"I had the greatest honour to be her daughter-in-law," she added. "That's pretty huge. And when I was driving here, I saw the Elizabeth Line and I said, 'I want everyone to remember what an amazing lady she was.'"
Ferguson has described the corgis as "exceptional" and said they've brought happiness into her life.

"They are such joys. I am dog-mad and they are exceptional," she told HELLO!. "Sandy follows me everywhere – I think he thinks I am the Queen. They are national treasures."
She called the dogs one of the "best gifts" she received from the monarch—along with her final words.

"The last thing the late Queen said to me was 'be yourself'," she shared with Platinum magazine. "That was the best gift, apart from the corgis… She also said: 'I cared for you, Sarah, and I love you and that you're good enough. Just be it'."
On the anniversary of Queen Elizabeth's death, Ferguson posted a tribute on Instagram, calling her a "second mother."
"You were a wonderful friend, a mentor, a second mother to me and grandmother to my daughters," she wrote. "You will always be loved and missed by our family and our nation."
