Kim Kardashian has hit a major parenting milestone as her oldest child officially enters her teenage years.
On Monday, North West turned 13, becoming the first of Kim Kardashian's four children to step into the teen phase.

The milestone birthday comes as North continues to develop her own identity, with recent months seeing her explore music projects alongside her father Kanye West while also experimenting with bold style choices including blue hair and edgy outfits.
North is home schooled and has increasingly been seen leaning into creative work, often appearing in performances and recording sessions tied to her growing interest in music.

Alongside North, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, who were married from 2014 until 2022, also share Saint, Chicago, and Psalm.
Kim marked the occasion on Instagram with an emotional message celebrating her daughter's milestone birthday.

"Happy Birthday my Northiiiiiieeeeeeeee (Uzi voice!!!) I can't believe you are officially a teenager!!!!! There's no one like you my baby girl! I love being your mom and watching you grow. I love you to the aliens galaxies you would speak of as a kid and beyond."
Family tributes also poured in from North's grandmother Kris Jenner, who shared a heartfelt message alongside throwback photos.

"Happy Birthday my amazing North!" she began her note while sharing flashback photos.
