Ariana Madix reveals how therapy aided her in coping with the aftermath of the Tom Sandoval cheating scandal. The 'Vanderpump Rules' regular was left heartbroken in March upon discovering her long-time partner's six-month affair with her close friend and fellow TV co-star, Raquel Leviss.
Nevertheless, Ariana attributes her emotional resilience to the regular counseling sessions that provided her with the essential tools to navigate through this tumultuous period. In her conversation with Us Weekly magazine, Ariana emphasized the significance of therapy in her recovery journey, stating, "Therapy helped 100 per cent. Some of the work I was doing in therapy before all of this set me up to be in a much better position. So it could have been much worse."
The 38-year-old reality star acknowledges that the infidelity scandal, aptly dubbed 'Scandoval,' led her to a profound realization – that she possesses a strength within her that she hadn't fully recognized before. She expressed this newfound self-assurance by saying, "This situation made me realize I can do hard things. The worst-case scenario literally did happen, and I was okay. I was like, 'Look, you can handle what's thrown at you.'"
Currently, Ariana has embarked on a new chapter in her romantic life, as she is now dating fitness coach Daniel Wai. She proudly shares that their relationship has evolved into an exclusive commitment. Ariana commends Daniel for being "incredibly supportive," especially as she competes on the television talent show 'Dancing With The Stars.' He goes to great lengths, flying across the United States every week to attend her performances.
Looking ahead, Ariana has ambitious aspirations for her future. She divulges her dreams of homeownership and yearns to grace the illustrious stages of Broadway, a lifelong aspiration she still holds dear. She eloquently stated, "Owning my own home and being on Broadway, I dreamed about that as a little kid and still do."
Notably, Ariana's 'Vanderpump Rules' co-star, Lala Kent, affirms that Ariana has been on an upward trajectory since the split. Lala describes her friend as "thriving" and underscores the positive impact of this transformative experience. Regarding Ariana's new beau, she shared, "He seems like a very nice guy."
