Ariana Grande has sparked fresh romance speculation after she was spotted dining with ex-boyfriend Ricky Alvarez in Texas ahead of her concert in Austin.
Fans quickly questioned whether the former couple had rekindled their relationship, but sources told TMZ there is nothing romantic going on between them.

According to the sources, Grande was celebrating her 33rd birthday with friends in Austin, and Alvarez was simply part of the group.
The singer was photographed at a restaurant with Ricky on Thursday while in town for her "Eternal Sunshine" tour.

Sources also said Ariana spent time meeting fans around the city and stopped for photos before taking the stage.
Grande and Alvarez first got together after he worked as a backup dancer on her Honeymoon Tour in 2015.

Their relationship later earned a mention in "Thank U, Next," where Ariana famously sings about listening to and laughing over the songs she wrote about him.
More recently, she even updated the lyric during a live performance, singing: "Wrote some songs about Ricky / Now they still kinda slap."
The sighting comes after Ariana recently split from boyfriend Ethan Slater. It was reported that the breakup was amicable and that the former couple have remained friends.
Despite fans' excitement over the Texas reunion, sources insist Ariana and Ricky are just friends.
