Jada Pinkett Smith, the 52-year-old actress, recently made headlines with the release of her autobiography 'Worthy,' in which she candidly disclosed the surprising revelation that she and her husband, Will Smith, 55, have been leading separate lives for the past seven years. This revelation did not sit well with Alyssa Farah Griffin, a 34-year-old host of 'The View,' who openly questioned why Jada chose to expose such intimate details rather than safeguarding her marriage's privacy.

During a discussion on the 'Behind the Table' podcast, Alyssa expressed her concerns, stating, "I think she needs to be more in tune with (Will's) feelings." Alyssa also took issue with Jada's decision not to file for divorce, despite her acknowledgment of the separation. She emphasized, "It's also OK to admit a marriage didn't work. That's what I guess I'm struck by, like, if you're dating other people, you're not doing any of the things that are 'marriage,' why not just go ahead (and file for divorce). There shouldn't be a stigma to divorce."

While acknowledging the occasionally revealing nature of her role as a co-host on 'The View,' Alyssa assured that she makes a conscious effort to respect her husband's feelings and avoid sharing anything that might hurt or embarrass him. She remarked, "I would never say something that would hurt my husband or that would embarrass him or that would put him in an uncomfortable position."

Alyssa's colleague on 'The View,' Ana Navarro, aged 51, voiced similar concerns earlier, suggesting that Jada's decision to divulge intimate details about her marriage might be a means of profiting from her family's troubles. Ana criticized Jada, stating, "I think she's having a relationship with her bank account because every time she needs to increase the ratings of the 'Red Table Talk' (Jada's talk show), every time she needs to sell books, she drops these bombshells. I find it unseemly, and I will tell you this, 'Be careful of anybody who pretends to have a perfect marriage.'"

Interestingly, it appears that Will Smith himself remains untroubled by Jada's tell-all book and her promotional interviews. On October 17, 2023, he posted a video on his Instagram account titled 'OFFICIAL STATEMENT,' playfully suggesting that Jada's revelations were minuscule in comparison to the vastness of the universe. In the video, he began by sitting in a living room, saying, "I got something for you, here's my opinion on the…" He then playfully pretended to sneeze, and the camera zoomed out, revealing the vast expanse of space, emphasizing the insignificance of the matter.

Additionally, earlier in the week, the 'Men in Black' star posted another Instagram video showing him peacefully asleep on a boat with the caption: "Notifications off :)." Jada responded to the post with crying-with-laughter emojis, indicating her amusement at Will's nonchalant attitude. Jada Pinkett Smith's revelations may have sparked controversy, but it seems that, for now, the Smiths are taking it all in stride, with Will adopting a lighthearted perspective on the matter.
